Hydraulic Filter Operation Principle
The basic principle of a hydraulic filter is that it completely extinguishes sparks from fire. That is, it acts as a spark arrester. Hydraulic filter - spark arrestor provides protection against fire in the ventilation system.
How does a hydraulic filter work?
Air heated by live fire goes into the hydraulic filter. Before that, it accumulates in the mounting connection of the hosper and hydraulic filter, or in an umbrella above the grill or barbecue.
Further, hot air with smoke, soot, burning and soot undergoes such processing stages:
In the first part of the hydraulic filter, a water suspension is created. There, under pressure, water is supplied through the nozzles. We install brass nozzles to last longer. And the hydraulic filter itself and all pipe connections are made of high-quality stainless steel.
At this stage, the sparks are crushed and extinguished, the air mixture is cooled, and the fat and soot are partially precipitated.
The pressure of the water coming from the water supply is indicated by a pressure gauge.
In the next stage, the air mixture passes through the nets, which are the next stage of cleaning from carbon deposits, tar and soot - mechanical cleaning.
Once again, a mixture of smoke and air falls under a water curtain - in order to guarantee a safe ventilation system from fire.
Complete cleaning of soot, grease and ash occurs in the part of the hydraulic filter, filled with ceramic labyrinth filters. Drops of water and grease settle on the ceramic parts. The use of a spark arrestor hydrofilter not only protects against fire, but also makes it possible to service ventilation systems less often, since it significantly cleans the gas mixture entering them from fat.
Then there is a separation of the air mixture and the water stream, which merges into the sewer.
And the purified air goes either to the room or to the street, depending on the design of the exhaust ventilation.
In fully automatic models, a plate droplet eliminator is provided for this cleaning step. And in non-automatic ones, we recommend ordering and installing it additionally, if necessary. For example, if the ventilation outlet almost immediately leads to the street and there an ice "beard" freezes in the winter. A drip tray helps solve this problem.
All parts and parts of hydraulic filters are made of stainless steel in order to minimize the impact of aggressive liquids during operation and washing of the spark filter.
