Air purification

As everyone has already noticed, air purification through our hydrofilters takes place as follows:

  • Soot, fat, sparks are completely removed. 
  • One hundred percent prevention of fires and contamination of ventilation ducts with solid and liquid products of combustion takes place.
  • Also, the water filter reduces the temperature of gaseous combustion products to an acceptable level.

But hydrofilters do not remove odors and smoke by 100 percent, although they remove a significant part - about 70%.

And then everything depends on the location of the ventilation outlet and the situation.

If that 30 percent of the smoke goes out on the city street or on the roof of the building, then no one will even notice that smoke.

Odor removal

What do we offer to remove odors? What technologies are there at the moment?

The same complex story with smells. Somewhere, the aroma of charcoal-grilled shashlik or barbecue will be an additional advertising move that will attract more visitors to the establishment. Remember how restaurant aromas in the summer in Kyiv in the Hydropark cause a persistent desire to taste kebabs.

But again, this is not the case when the aromas of food prepared in a professional kitchen enter non-stop into someone's home.

Then, of course, the air definitely needs additional cleaning.

The following are recognized as the most effective technologies for removing odors from the air:

  • Carbon filters
  • Low-temperature plasma
  • Ozone

Carbon filters are an effective and cheapest solution for removing odors in catering establishments.

Due to its chemical properties, coal absorbs all microparticles from the air and accumulates them. Namely, odors are made of microparticles.

It is necessary to note the disadvantage of this method - the need for consumables. Carbon filter cartridges must be replaced at certain intervals.

The so-called cold plasma is also used to clean the air from odors. With a powerful electric discharge, odor molecules are decomposed into ions, and then, thanks to catalysts, a safe substance, water vapor, or carbon dioxide is formed from them. This is a complex technology, and it is mostly used for decontamination in medical or scientific facilities, or for industrial purposes, rather than for air deodorization.

The most used and convenient technology is freeing the air from odors with the help of ozone generators.

Chinese-made household devices for ozonating residential apartments have now appeared.

But they should not be used for the ventilation system of restaurants or enterprises.

To remove odors in the ventilation of a professional kitchen, we offer industrial special devices of English-Lithuanian production that carefully dose the amount of ozone produced by the device.

  The correct determination of the power of devices is of great importance. So that there is enough ozone to neutralize odor molecules, and at the same time, so that excess ozone is not generated.

Ozone for removing odors works as follows - the third unstable oxygen atom in the ozone molecule when interacting with the environment is separated and reacts with odor molecules, binding and turning into oxides. Thus, in the end we have oxygen and bound oxides.

Ozone neutralizes such dangerous substances as phenol, formaldehyde, acetone, methane, benzene, organic and biological pollution.

Ozone destroys microbes, fungi, microorganisms much more effectively than ultraviolet light and chlorine.

Smoke removal

The air is cleaned of smoke with photocatalytic and electrostatic filters.

A photocatalytic filter is a filter that cleans the air with the help of light and the reactions that occur under its influence. Air passing through the filter is irradiated with soft ultraviolet radiation, under the influence of which oxidation and decomposition of impurities occurs.

The smoke removal system, acting with the help of electrostatic filters, works as follows -

small smoke particles pass between charged filter plates.

They receive a charge in turn.

And, being attracted to the oppositely charged plate, settle on it.

Electrostatic filters provide almost one hundred percent removal of smoke.
